The maps at the time of search for flights

Find the Google API is not surprising in a lot of online business. A segment where has been most successful is in the case of the air flight tickets sale which seems to have found a good host.

clip_image001For a time I had considered that these services were unnecessary because as travel operators exist; but every day there are new sites, and myself had to use one of them on my last trip when I changed my return itinerary to the last minute. Although the flight solution could be solved by my travel provider, have just 40 minutes to find a hotel would have been impossible in the absence of these sites, it was only necessary to set the date, city and ready … to choose from.

I made a reservation for a low price, flight quiet without worrying that I would come to an unknown destination at 10 pm.

One of these sites, with greater presence in Spain is Destinia, apart from the simple flight search has added extra functionality to the Google API. See for example, if I’m looking for flights Madrid – Mallorca, only have to select the details of the itinerary and dates, number of passengers … and press the orange button.

The map below is built on the Google Maps API that shows the origin, destination and a straight line joining them.

Additionally, you can see useful information such as time zone, temperature and climate data from each place.

In conclusion, most of the maps integration, which is interesting by my affinity with the theme, the page functionality is very robust in the search for various travel-related solutions such as:

  • Beaches
  • Hotels
  • Apartments
  • Cars.

And of course, it also has cheap flights.
