The conference

This is the fourth time that this conference takes place; it aims to promote knowledge and exchange of experiences through the involvement of technical clip_image003clip_image004institutions, educators and service providers of geographic information.

In past events, the exhibitors showed topics such as urban planning, GPS systems operation, use of Google Earth in different disciplines and the use of GIS to display the local history.

Although Skidmore GIS Center for Interdisciplinary Research uses ArcGIS 9.2 as primary software for use by students, this year it is including in the Conference theme Manifold GIS.

A good sign that this software is being well received in the educational community, much better if, within the theme will be talking about the sustainability of the use of applications in universities.
